Our youth are getting ready for a planning meeting for the Mayor’s Council which is set to start soon. This creation of this council came out of previous discussions with the Mayor and desire to include youth capacity. We are already hearing from our youth who are eager for the Youth Council to begin!
The Mayor’s Youth Council will move the process of giving youth space to learn and grow forward and we anticipate more youth lead initiatives will come out through youth voicing their concerns and then working it out in the broader community to get things done.
